Streets India is an Initiative to organize to organise Street Vendors across India and empower them with entrepreneurship oppurtunities

Street vending is an important source of livelihood for nearly 2.5% of Indian population. A substantial number of vendors are found in the urban areas and towns. In order to safeguard livelihood and make this profession more profitable and respectable, “Streets India” is a social initiative for organising the vending profession by developing the concept of organised Street Vendors under a dedicated social organisation, whilst empowering them with an opportunity of Entrepreneurship.It is a unique case which witness collaboration of public, private and community organizations for building a market which works exclusively for the urban poor (Street Vendors).

All the participating partners will be benefited in due course of time. The new market which will be thus developed will improve business of the vendors, along with a new source of revenue from Advertising and promotional activities on specially designed push carts which will also help in beautification of the city.
